DowAksa, an international indirect joint venture between the Dow Chemical Company and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayii A.Ş., established in 2012, is providing and selling high quality carbon fiber and carbon fiber reinforced advanced composite solutions by applying science, world class manufacturing capabilities and technical knowledge, to the industrial clients.  
DowAksa is selling to diversified industrial market areas.

End users are;
Wind Energy
Pressurised Vessels 
Infrastructure 
Automotive 

QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related fields
Preferably MSc in related fields on Chemical Engineering, Process Equipment Design, Polymer Processing
Minimum 3 years experience in R&D engineering design units preferably in polymeric materials industries, experienced in equipment design and process scale up, leading projects, improvement activities
Ability to apply fundamental engineering principles to improve manufacturing processes
Competency with 3D CAD modelling systems
Preferably having knowledge in Root Cause Analysis, PFMAE, Lean Six Sigma and statistical analysis tools
Proficiency in written and spoken English
Good knowledge in MS Office and MS Project
Residing or to be residing in Yalova or Karamürsel
Having no obstacle for travelling inland or abroad.
JOB DESCRIPTION

DowAksa is offering the role of Improvement Specialist Engineer - Process; 

Primarily responsible from designing and improving carbon fiber production machinery and equipment, providing and analyzing data in order to evaluate process performance and develop solutions to quality and efficiency problems
Providing process engineering guidance and support to R&D projects related to new product development and continuous improvement
Performing pilot scale trials and analytical tests to generate required data for design and improvement activities
Working closely with Manufacturing/R&D Operators, Mechanics, Supervisors, other Engineers, and Management
Preparing block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams
Participating in the commissioning of new equipment and installation
Providing and maintaining detailed documentation and procedures for all work performed
To maintain safe work environment in responsible processes by following EH&S regulations, rules and policies of design projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
