About the Role

We are seeking a Business Development Associate based in Istanbul to support Doktar’s expanding commercial activities across international markets.

In this role, you will work closely with senior commercial leaders to identify, structure, and develop new business opportunities with multinational companies, institutions, and ecosystem partners. While the position contributes to global business development efforts, French-speaking markets are strategically important for Doktar, and strong proficiency in French is therefore required.

The position combines analytical problem-solving with commercial execution. You will contribute to market analysis, opportunity development, proposal preparation, and client engagement, while coordinating closely with technical, sustainability, and product teams to translate Doktar’s solutions into compelling value propositions for clients.

This role is well suited for a commercially curious, analytical, and internationally minded professional who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and global agriculture.



Main Responsibilities

Support the identification, qualification, and development of new business opportunities across target sectors and geographies
Manage end-to-end business development activities for assigned leads, including initial outreach, needs analysis, solution positioning, and follow-up
Conduct market, competitor, and customer research to inform pipeline development and strategic positioning
Prepare high-quality commercial materials, including proposals, concept notes, pitch decks, and pricing inputs, in coordination with internal teams
Coordinate closely with technical, product, and project teams to ensure accurate solution design and feasibility
Maintain and update CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), ensuring disciplined tracking of leads, activities, and pipeline status
Support partnership development with corporates, institutions, and ecosystem partners, including meeting preparation and follow-up
Contribute to sales forecasting, pipeline reviews, and management reporting with structured analysis and insights
Represent Doktar in client meetings, workshops, and industry events as required
Ensure all business development activities are aligned with company strategy, value proposition, and compliance requirements


Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
3–4 years of professional experience in business development, sales, strategy, consulting, or a similar commercial role
Prior experience in a consulting or advisory firm is a strong plus
Exposure to agriculture, food, sustainability, climate, or related sectors is an advantage but not mandatory
Strong business development and commercial analysis capabilities, with the ability to structure problems and translate insights into commercial opportunities
Ability to prepare clear, client-ready proposals, concept notes, and presentations
Experience working in cross-functional environments and coordinating with technical or product teams
Effective written and verbal communication skills; confident stakeholder interaction
Full professional proficiency in English and French is required; additional European languages are an advantage
Comfortable working with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot), Excel, Canva, and presentation software
Well-organized, results-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, site visits, or industry events
