Doktar develops cutting-edge hardware, software, and sustainability programs that enable multinational companies, institutions, and farmers to make data-driven decisions.By combining IoT, remote sensing, machine learning, and artificial intelligence, Doktar supports smarter and more sustainable agri-food value chains—helping improve food accessibility, promote regenerative agriculture, and contribute to climate action.About the RoleWe are seeking a Business Development Associate based in Istanbul to support Doktar’s expanding commercial activities across international markets.In this role, you will work closely with senior commercial leaders to identify, structure, and develop new business opportunities with multinational companies, institutions, and ecosystem partners. While the position contributes to global business development efforts, French-speaking markets are strategically important for Doktar, and strong proficiency in French is therefore required.The position combines analytical problem-solving with commercial execution. You will contribute to market analysis, opportunity development, proposal preparation, and client engagement, while coordinating closely with technical, sustainability, and product teams to translate Doktar’s solutions into compelling value propositions for clients.This role is well suited for a commercially curious, analytical, and internationally minded professional who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and global agriculture.Main ResponsibilitiesSupport the identification, qualification, and development of new business opportunities across target sectors and geographiesManage end-to-end business development activities for assigned leads, including initial outreach, needs analysis, solution positioning, and follow-upConduct market, competitor, and customer research to inform pipeline development and strategic positioningPrepare high-quality commercial materials, including proposals, concept notes, pitch decks, and pricing inputs, in coordination with internal teamsCoordinate closely with technical, product, and project teams to ensure accurate solution design and feasibilityMaintain and update CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot), ensuring disciplined tracking of leads, activities, and pipeline statusSupport partnership development with corporates, institutions, and ecosystem partners, including meeting preparation and follow-upContribute to sales forecasting, pipeline reviews, and management reporting with structured analysis and insightsRepresent Doktar in client meetings, workshops, and industry events as requiredEnsure all business development activities are aligned with company strategy, value proposition, and compliance requirementsRequirementsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field3–4 years of professional experience in business development, sales, strategy, consulting, or a similar commercial rolePrior experience in a consulting or advisory firm is a strong plusExposure to agriculture, food, sustainability, climate, or related sectors is an advantage but not mandatoryStrong business development and commercial analysis capabilities, with the ability to structure problems and translate insights into commercial opportunitiesAbility to prepare clear, client-ready proposals, concept notes, and presentationsExperience working in cross-functional environments and coordinating with technical or product teamsEffective written and verbal communication skills; confident stakeholder interactionFull professional proficiency in English and French is required; additional European languages are an advantageComfortable working with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot), Excel, Canva, and presentation softwareWell-organized, results-driven, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneouslyWillingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, site visits, or industry eventsWhat We OfferOpportunity to become a member of a dynamic, mission-driven, and international team committed to creating environmental and social impactCareer growth opportunities, continuous learning, and exposure to cross-functional and international projectsPerformance-based bonus scheme aligned with individual and company performanceEmployee Stock Option (ESO) scheme, enabling long-term participation in Doktar’s growth
