About Us
Freelea is a U.S.-based, fast-growing Fashion & Technology venture redefining the shopping experience for Gen Z customers. PulseDataLab is Freelea's Istanbul-based technology and operations center. Join us as a Marketplace Accounting Intern and help support the financial operations behind Freelea's U.S. marketplace.

Role Focus
This role supports the accounting and finance team in managing the financial operations of Freelea's U.S. marketplace — from transaction records and seller payouts to reconciliations and reporting. Working closely with finance, operations, and technology teams, you will help ensure accurate, timely, and well-organized financial information, while gaining hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with recording daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate bookkeeping records.
• Support reconciliation of marketplace sales, payments, refunds, and seller payouts.
• Help process invoices, expenses, and accounts payable and receivable.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
• Help prepare budgets, cost analyses, and variance reports.
• Organize and maintain financial documents for audits and compliance.
• Support tracking of commissions, fees, and category-level financial performance.
• Prepare financial summaries and reports for leadership review.
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting processes as the marketplace scales.

Who We're Looking For
• Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial statements.
• Interest in building a career in accounting or finance within a fast-paced, technology-driven business environment.
• Strong Excel skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable using AI-powered tools to improve productivity, analysis, and reporting.
