About UsEMLTECHS is building ExportAI, a B2B compliance automation platform that checks product documents against EU regulations and generates safety reports.About the RoleWe're looking for a Software Engineering Intern who can own real engineering work end to end. That means understanding the problems of a non-tech industry, automating sector-specific tasks with AI, writing high-quality code, shipping it to production, and iterating quickly based on how it holds up against the documents customers actually upload. This role is for someone who combines strong engineering fundamentals with a genuine ability to take action and solve real problems. You'll work across engineering, product, and design, owning features from the first idea through to what actually ships, working directly with our founding engineer. What You'll Do- Own features from early definition through implementation, PR review, rollout, and iteration.- Work closely with our founding engineer to shape solutions and make thoughtful technical trade-offs.- Care about aesthetics, design, and simplicity in what you ship. It should work, and it should feel clean and practical too.- Ship reliably. If it only runs on your machine, it isn't done.- Set and uphold a high bar for code quality, codebase architecture, testing, and maintainability from day one.- Incorporate feedback fast, whether it comes from code review, a real compliance run, or something breaking in production.- Bring clarity to ambiguous problems: EU regulation doesn't arrive as a clean spec, and part of the job is figuring out what "correct" actually means.- Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance correctness, speed, and what the product actually needs.RequirementsYou might be a good fit if you:- Have strong engineering fundamentals: clean code, maintainable systems, testing, production readiness.- Value aesthetics, design, and simplicity, and can ship fast without losing track of code quality.- Have proof you can take something from idea to production-ready software, even if it's a personal project.- Are comfortable bringing structure to ambiguity. Our domain doesn't come with a tidy spec, so you'll help figure out what "done" actually means.- Are thoughtful about trade-offs. You ask whether something works, and whether it's the right way to build it.- Are curious about AI and comfortable working on AI-adjacent product work: RAG, LLM-based agents and workflows, context engineering.Your profile loosely looks like:- Studying or recently finished a CS-related degree, or equivalent self-taught experience with a portfolio to show it- Solid CS fundamentals, including how the web works, APIs, networking, databases, storage, and system design- Comfortable with TypeScript and React (Next.js a plus), Python, SQL, and Git- Basic Docker and CI/CD workflows, and writing tests as a normal part of how you work- Bonus: exposure to async or workflow orchestration, a provider-agnostic AI SDK, or an agent frameworkWe don't screen for years of experience. Show us what you've built. How to ApplyEmail to: muhammed@emltechs.com
