Royal Danish Consulate General in Istanbul

Student Assistant

Yarı Zamanlı

İstanbul(Avr.)

The Trade Council at the Royal Danish Consulate General in Istanbul is looking for skilled,
motivated and energetic graduate-level student assistant to join our Trade Council team in 2026-
2027 specifically working at energy, water and environment sectors.

At The Trade Council, we provide one-on-one consultancy services to the Danish business
community, working both with companies already established here and those looking to expand
their activities to Turkey. We also engage in public diplomacy activities to promote Danish values,
competencies and experiences through social media, technical workshops, PR and advocacy
activities. Our student assistants play a key role in realizing these ambitions.

Student assistants in the Trade Council therefore need to be dynamic team players with a real
interest in international business and communication. The right candidate will see this job as a
unique opportunity to gain valuable professional experience working on trade and as part of an
international team.

Tasks and responsibilities will constantly be changing. We therefore expect student assistants to
be flexible, responsible and attentive to detail. The pace of work is often high, deadlines short
and none of it reasons to deliver anything short of excellent work – whether it is contributing to
a critical report to a Danish company or performing administrative and clerical tasks.

Recurrent responsibilities include making meeting arrangements, preparing social media
content, supporting The Trade Council team on market research and outreach activities to local
companies and authorities.

✓ We offer an exciting and international workplace, where the working hours are flexible
but amount to 24 hours a week (three full days).

✓ Student assistants are offered a one-year paid contract.

✓ The working language is English (Turkish is expected by default). To perform well, we
expect applicants to have a good command of English, both orally and in writing.

✓ Applicants with an educational background within trade, international relations and
business administration are encouraged to apply. A passion for sustainability, renewable
energy and climate and environment related issues is a definite asset.

✓ Graduate level, master students are preferred (Senior level students can apply too).
