# Position Overview

The Live Classes Assistant Coordinator supports tutors and students to ensure smooth and effective online lessons. This role involves coordinating lesson logistics, assisting tutors with educational technology, engaging students to boost participation, and monitoring live sessions.

The ideal candidate is organized, tech-savvy, patient, and communicates well to help create an interactive and successful learning environment.

- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with tutors and students before, during, and after lessons.
- A strong interest and proficiency in educational technology tools, with the ability to support tutors in using digital platforms confidently.
- The ability to proactively engage with students, creating a welcoming and interactive online learning environment.
- Good organizational skills to manage class recordings, lesson materials, and follow-ups efficiently.
- Patience and professionalism in moderating discussions, managing off-topic questions, and maintaining a focused learning atmosphere.
- Experience or comfort in monitoring live chats and quickly addressing student inquiries or concerns.
- A collaborative mindset, open to giving and receiving feedback to continuously improve the learning experience.
- Attention to detail in observing student engagement and class dynamics, and the ability to provide constructive insights for future lessons.
- Flexibility to adapt to different teaching styles and student needs, ensuring smooth lesson flow.

## Responsibilities:

- Communicate with tutors before classes to confirm topics, formats, and teaching materials (PDFs, activities, etc.)
- Collaborate with tutors to design effective lesson plans and suggest interactive, needs-based classroom activities that enhance student engagement and learning outcomes
- Act as a resource for instructors by promoting the use of interactive digital tools and assisting them in developing their tech skills when needed
- Follow up with tutors after each session to discuss what went well, address any challenges, and offer constructive feedback when needed
- Observe student engagement and class dynamics, and share insights to improve future lessons
- Ensure live classes to be held in the most engaging way possible via:
- Build a deeper communication and bonding in the classes with students
- Monitor the class to be efficient for every participant by following classroom rules
- Be present as the facilitator of the class with the teacher by gaging the student activity
- Increase interactivity during the classes via using ed-tech tools to enhance their engagement

## What we’re looking for:

- Minimum commitment of 20-hours working time per week
- Third- and fourth-year undergraduate students currently enrolled in the Faculty of Education
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to act decisively in challenging environments
- Comfortable working with online communication tools and virtual platforms.
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and support to tutors and students.
- Interest in educational technology
- Proactive, student-focused, and detail-oriented.
- Team player with flexibility.
- Teaching experience is a plus.
- Candidates aiming for a teaching career post-graduation preferred
