Our first flagship product, Wonderfeel Youngr™, is recognized as the best of its kind and is tracking great momentum with an educated customer base.We are looking for a Staff Scientist, Biology, to support and execute our research efforts. This is a highly collaborative role, working closely with our scientific leadership to translate complex biological questions into structured, high-quality studies.This role reports directly to Dr. Andrew Salzman, Chief Medical Officer, a Harvard-educated physician, inventor, and biomedical entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in drug discovery and development. You will work closely with him on all things related to research.What you’ll do:Oversee outsourced biology studies conducted at CROs, ensuring scientific rigor, clarity, and execution qualityDesign experiments and translate research questions into actionable study protocolsManage timelines, deliverables, and communication across external research partnersTroubleshoot experimental challenges and guide iteration with a strong hypothesis-driven mindsetAnalyze and interpret experimental data, including statistical evaluation where relevantCritically review scientific literature and integrate findings into ongoing research strategyWork closely with the principal investigator to refine direction and uncover new opportunities for discoveryRequirements:PhD in BiologyPostdoctoral experience with at least five years of hands-on work at the benchStrong expertise in at least one of the following areas: intracellular signaling, structural biology, proteomics, or enzymologyStrong foundation in experimental design, data interpretation, and scientific reasoningAbility to design experiments, manage execution of protocols, troubleshoot, and interpret results with statistical rigorAdvanced to native-level proficiency in English (written and verbal)Preferred: The following experience would further strengthen your application:Experience overseeing outsourced biology studies at CROsResearch experience in post-translational modifications, mammalian cell line construction, and recombinant protein expression.Experience in site-specific mutagenesis valuable.How you think:Deeply curious, with a natural instinct to ask “why” before “what next”Hypothesis-driven and grounded in mechanism of actionPrecise, structured, and detail-oriented in both thinking and executionComfortable navigating ambiguity while maintaining scientific rigorMotivated by the pursuit of breakthrough insights, not just incremental progressIMPORTANT: We'd love to get to know your full scientific journey.
